Blue lightning

Our four days in the NE were a dizzying swirl of activity. Somewhere between being ill prepared for the harsh cold and rushing the field, I realized football is not for wussies.

Geared up with layers and our CCSU Family shirts, courtesy of the Giampietro's.

First stop of our journey? Tail gating. In other words, drinking and eating at 9:30 in the morning

A few chocolaty shots of Bailey's and my unease with the extremely dorky hat, melted away.

At 3:00 pm, the hardcore fans (aka, the entire stand of bleachers) rushed the field to congratulate the Blue Devils. Amidst the fans, this bundled up cutie. How can you not love him?!

The man of the hour and brother.

Blue Devils, district champions two years in a row! I cannot wait to see what new bling Dom will be sporting come summer.

Nobody had prepared me for the full day of festivities that American football calls for. Come next year, I will be sure to partake in sturdier shoes (I have a weakness for boots at the moment), mittens, coats, moisturizer (for the windburn) and Red Bull. At least I'll have a better understanding for the game...for Fran's sake.

Dahnya, you were rockin the old tried and true Lawn Ranger hat. That thing kept Fran warm in the middle of the night plowing snow, props on it.
