Epic fail.

Sometime in late July I went to the gardening center & bought two lovely plants. Well aware of my poor gardening skills I chose the plants that claimed to be "easy to maintain" and that required minimum watering- what's three times a week, after all? Even I could remember that. Wrong.

Once upon a time this poor plant was green and lush. Now, what was meant to spruce up our front porch is now withered and upon death's door. The rainstorms of this past weekend have me hoping that they have a resurrection. Any green thumbs out there care to help?

Water and hope...that's my recipe. Seems to be a family tradition, too. Haha.

I hear ya Dahnya. I don't have a green thumb either.

One of my coworkers has a 12 month assignment outside of the U.S. and he asked me to watch his plant for him since I have a window at my desk...
It's a lot of pressure to keep this thing alive! Mind you, it's going fine and this is a low-maintenance plant... but still! I don't want to let my coworker down... so I've been extra attentive to it.

Good luck! WATER!!

I am 100% in your same boat. We have replaced the plants on our porch 3 times since we've lived in the condo and a week ago we got a notice on the door that we had only 5 days to throw away the dead plants on our balcony before we received a fine.

These old people here don't mess around.

Good luck with your future plants! maybe if you got a cuter watering can it would inspire you to water more?
