Blooming buds

Through the utter thoughtfulness and creativity of a dear friend, I am now able to cross item number three off my bucket list! I only hope that this is truly the gift that will keep on giving and that these poor plants are not doomed to meet failure courtesy of my absent-mindedness.

I don't think I've ever seen spoons more beautiful than these! I know they are meant to be a part of the plants but, realistically I will now begin the hunt for a worthy china cabinet to place them in...

The transferring of the herbs into their new little home was quite a messy endeavor.

But the end result was sheer joy! The addition of these happy herbs has completely spruced up Mildred's front porch. Please ignore the piggy neighbors next door.

The alluring scent of rosemary, basil, mint and cilantro instantly surround your senses upon reaching the front stoop. Mildred will be the best smelling house on the block, now!

Meet Betty (as in Boop). She's to help me keep these herbs in the "pink" of health.

Walking out the front door to snip a piece of mint or basil is quite simply a one of a kind experience.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Giada, eat your heart out.

Hooray! Having your own herbs will make food taste THAT much better!

And yes, they are beautiful plants to have around. They truly spruce any area up, regardless of neighbors. ;-)

I look forward to seeing them in person!

I can smell the herbs from here! Good job!

And I'm officially obsessed with Betty. She is so cute! (is it weird to say that?)
